When Will The Coronavirus Vaccine Be Available?

Introduction

Coronavirus Vaccine is the most important thing to save the lives of people at present. The COVID-19 vaccine tasting has already started. All of you know that COVID-19 disease is progressing throughout the world. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the death toll is 64,541. The total confirmed coronavirus patients are 1,174,866 as per the report of the 6th of April, 2020.  Every life is living under a pile of worries.  The researchers come forward to eradicating coronavirus death tolls. It may be a medicine or a vaccine. But coronavirus vaccine invention will easily dissolve such massacre which most of the experts believe in.

China And The USA: The First Coronavirus Vaccine

The first COVID-19 vaccines  (Coronavirus Vaccine) are being tested in the United States and China. And still, it is under process to find out the effects. The coronavirus epidemic has become widespread throughout the world. The new cases of contamination and death have been confirmed. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced the trial of a vaccine (mRNA-1273) against the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) on a volunteer in the United States on Monday 16 March. China launched its 108-volunteer vaccine trials on Friday, March 20.

Furthermore, in France, the Institut Pasteur in Paris and its international network have started 16 simultaneous research projects. Among these projects two of which are on vaccines. Their first tests of prototype COVID-19 vaccines. This first test of the prototype took place on mice on March 11 and such test will continue for a month and a half. They will vaccinate mice. Then they will take blood from the mice. They will take blood to observe whether the mice blood makes antibodies against COVID-19 virus. And finally, they will upgrade the vaccine through a trial basis on human.

The Major Steps Of Making Coronavirus Vaccine

The research teams are making progress in developing a vaccine against the new coronavirus. However, all agree that it will take several months to develop. So it will not stop the current coronavirus epidemic. Indeed, it is not enough just to find the right formula. The COVID-19 vaccine must then be tested on animals and then on humans at each stage of the manufacturing process. In total, it takes between 6 and 36 months for production, packaging and delivery to the various countries involved, which in turn carry out quality controls.

“Obtaining an effective, non-toxic and therefore usable vaccine takes months or even years. However, this epidemic will perhaps speed up the development of an active coronavirus vaccine, such as the one discovered in Wuhan in 2019 or others (as we already saw 10 and 20 years ago with SARS and MERS) or at least help optimize the technique and targeting on coronavirus,” comments Mathieu Lafaurie from the Saint-Louis hospital. The efficacy of a vaccine can only be demonstrated over the long term.

The Effectiveness Of Coronavirus Vaccine

According to a spokesperson for the department of Prof. Didier Raoult, Director of the IHU Méditerranée Infection, it is not reasonable to think that the vaccine is a short-term solution: “The effectiveness of a vaccine can only be demonstrated in the long term. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people must be exposed to the virus in a risk area to demonstrate that the vaccinated population has been less affected than the unvaccinated population. However, this necessarily takes a long time”.

Professor Didier Raoult, a specialist in emerging tropical infectious diseases at the Marseilles Faculty of Medicine, is conducting parallel research on the effect of molecules such as Hydroxychloroquine, used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as lupus or rheumatoid polyarthritis, to obtain treatment more quickly. It is also clear to everyone that the epidemic coronavirus is spreading everywhere. Even 37 wedding guests found infected positive from COVID-19 at Jimmy Niggle’s marriage ceremony.

When Will Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Vaccine Be Available?

The European Commission And Oxford University

The European Commission has released €10 million for research into a coronavirus vaccine. Besides, The European Commission is supporting a project linking 300 hospitals and 900 laboratories.

Oxford University is officially calling for COVID-19 Vaccine volunteers as a project run by the Jenner Institute and the Oxford Vaccine Group. Furthermore, Oxford is calling 510 volunteers between ages 18-55. They must be healthy and they will be vaccinated for around 6-month clinical trials.

France On Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Vaccine

In France, a Task Force has been set up at the Pasteur Institute for vaccine development: “We have known the genome sequence of the virus for several weeks, so we can start work on developing a vaccine,” Prof. Christophe d’Enfert, Scientific Director of the Pasteur Institute, claimed.

There, researchers decided to use the measles vaccine (same family of viruses as the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus) as a starting point for initial trials. They are going to assemble the genome of the measles vaccine with part of the coronavirus genome to obtain a vaccine derivative that every country in the world knows how to produce.

Tests on mice began on March 11. “The Institut Pasteur has announced an 18-month delay [i.e. the summer of 2021]. But it is quite likely that within 18 months the coronavirus epidemic will no longer exist under these conditions and that, even if there is a new outbreak of Chinese coronavirus in 18 months, it is still likely that the disease will not occur again.

Conclusion

Researchers from every country are trying their best to make the coronavirus/ COVID-19 vaccine. However, it is also clear that it needs time to invent a new vaccine. You may ask. What should we do?

Do not worry! Listen to your government whichever country you are from. It is great news that all the governments are making the right decision to stop the spread of coronavirus. However, you must follow what your government is instructing. Help your government by following the instruction. Last but not least, you all are surely aware that coronavirus takes a devastating turn if a patient is already suffering from high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes and kidney diseases. So never forget to take all the possible ways to boost up your immune system. If your immune system is strong, the coronavirus may not affect you severely.
