As per the statement released by the Brooklyn Nets organization, Kevin Durant and three other players have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Kevin informed about his test result to the Senior NBA reporter Shams Charania. Additionally, Shams posted a quote of Durant on his twitter, writing:
“Kevin Durant tested positive for coronavirus, Durant tells @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Durant says he is feeling fine: ‘Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’re going to get through this.“
On the other hand, the other three players who also tested positive for COVID-19 virus is yet to be revealed. As per the reports, only one of the infected players showed the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. However, it is still a mystery if Durrant was the one to show the symptoms of the pandemic disease.

This news came shortly after the NBA has announced that the regular season will be indefinitely postponed for one month.
The Nets released the statement, saying:
“The organization is currently notifying anyone who has had known contact with the players, including recent opponents, and is working closely with state and local health authorities on reporting.”
They further added, “All players and members of the Nets travel party are being asked to remain isolated, closely monitor their health and maintain constant communication with team medical staff. The health of our players and staff is of the highest priority to the organization and the team is doing everything within its power to ensure that those affected receive the best care possible.”

At the end of their statement, Nets thanked all the supporters, partners, and surrounding community and wished everyone for the speedy recovery.
Will Nets Employees Will Be Testing for COVID-19 Virus?
It is not clear how many Nets workers were screened for the virus or how they were able to procure such samples, given that health authorities around the country were struggling to locate testing for the general public and for themselves.
Furthermore, the New York City health department issued a statement which states that it is, “Strongly recommends against testing persons with mild illness who can be safely managed at home, unless diagnosis may impact patient management.“
Three of the four players didn’t show signs of the disease, according to the Nets statement. Additionally, a Nets spokesman refused to include information about how the team tested the samples.

The Utah Jazz player, Rudy Gobert also tested positive for Coronavirus previously. The test result was announced on 11th March 2020. In particular, the news circulated shortly before the game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Later, Rudy was in regret saying he should have taken the coronavirus outbreak ‘more seriously’. Matter of fact, he became the first player in the NBA to contract the virus. Gobert has urged fans to keep defending themselves and the people around them. The Utah Jazz player was seen joking, rubbing the microphones at a press conference before being the victim of COVID-19.

The coronavirus continues to spread at an alarming rate around the world and athletes are not immune to the disease. Additionally, a number of athletes worldwide have confirmed that they have tested positive.
