Erica Weise gave his statement to the Los Angeles Times. His older brother Dabord and dele started an argument that turned into an ugly fight afterward. During the fight, Serena Karlan tries to break up the altercation but she was fatally injured and later died.
Weise said Dele killed the boat’s captain Bertrand Saldo because he wants to report to the authorities about the incident. Dabord took his gun out and shot Dele in self-defense. Reportedly, Dabord dumped the three bodies overboard.
After the incident, the team of FBI and the French authorities struggle to find the lost one but none of the bodies was recovered. Police arrested Dabord but on September 27, 2002, he died due to intentionally injecting overdosed insulin, in a California hospital.
