AFI AWARDS is the only national program that honors creative teams as a whole, recognizes all the front of and behind the camera. In AFI Award, Honorees are selected on the basis of works such as the best advance the art of the moving image, inspire audiences and artists, enhance the rich cultural heritage and make a mark on American society.
The American Film Institute (AFI) Awards 2020 honored the top 10 best movies and top 10 Television Programs of this year. The winners of the AFI Awards were announced on January 25, while the virtual ceremony will take place on Friday, February 26, 2021. From February, the global movie club will begin to showcase the exclusive new content including special guests from the honored works introducing title and behind the scene conversations with actors and filmmakers.

In addition to the 20 awards, AFI is giving a special award to Hamilton. Hamilton is the best-filmed version.
In this year’s, selections are made through a jury process. AFI board of director’s member, AFI board of trustee’s vice-chair, artists, critics, and scholars determine the year’s most outstanding achievements and provide artistic and cultural context for the selection of each honoree.
For 20 years, the AIF award has been horned by gather artists in one room with the goal “to create community over competition,” But this year AFI Award will celebrate by a virtual event, stream on AFI’s YouTube channel, and on AFI.com.
The AFI award will be sponsored by Audi (a supporter sponsored for the past 17 years) Audi is providing Scholarships in the name of each honoree to current women and BIPOC Fellows for a total contribution of $250,000.
