Recently, there was research taken place at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. After the survey, they came to know that the sex rate is the highest on the pleasure scale, leaving behind volunteering, religion, and childcare.

The famous researcher, Carsten Grimm, did the research. During the survey, he asked all the participants to choose one from pleasure, meaning, and engagement. As a matter of fact, Sex ranked top in the list of pleasure. However, ‘feeling sick’ and ‘housework’ ranked lower on the pleasure scale.
After the survey, Grimm explained the reason why Sex is in the higher level of the pleasure scale (pleasure map) explaining:
Those who tend to be high on all three orientations to happiness not only score high on life satisfaction, they also tend to have higher experiences of pleasure, meaning, engagement, and happiness in their daily lives. This means that being able to seek happiness in different ways may enrich your everyday experience and increase your overall well-being.
On the other hand, drinking alcohol listed second on the pleasure scale. Some people believe the pleasure scale to be correct; however, some people believe that there must be research-based on age categories. So far, the results were quite appreciative, and we can conclude that Sex and Alcohol reach the top when it comes to extreme happiness.
Raising Kids & Religion
In today’s world, where people grow up believing virtuous ideals to be their key for a fulfilled life, things change as per their growing age. Growing ones are always curious of the physical changes they go through. It is not obvious that everyone should believe Sex and Alcohol to be the highest pleasurable things.
