Kristin Cavallari, a reality television star, revealed the couple’s decision to split in an emotional post on Sunday on Instagram. Although Kristin and Jay announced their separation now, the reports suggest that they have been struggling months before.
Reportedly, the reality television stars were working on their relationship for a while but found that they couldn’t make it work. As a result on April 26, 2020, Kristin letting her followers know about the divorce, posted a picture along with the caption:
“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.“
Reason of Divorce: Incompatibility
Surprisingly, this came after they enjoyed a Bahamas holiday, but it’s said the vacation was already scheduled and had nothing to do with the split. Also, there weren’t any issues between them including cheating; the only reason for their divorce was incompatibility.
On of the source of the People magazine told:
“Kristin and Jay are a lot different. She has so much on her plate, with her brands, and with the show.“
Continuing to that, the source added:
“Jay is not as interested in all of that. She’s so passionate about her work and they couldn’t relate to each other as much. So it pulled them apart.“
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler relationship timeline
The pair had to go through ups and downs in their relationship. In particular, they had to go through a broken engagement and two marriages before they could settle themselves as husband and wife. In a decade of the relationship, the couple is blessed with 3 children. Below here is the full timeline of the duo’s relationship.
Back in 2009, she revealed that she rejected the opportunity to meet the then Chicago Bears player, Jay Cutler in the interview with A Drink With. Remembering the days, she said:
“I got a call from my publicist that Jay wanted to fly me out to Chicago and take me out,” adding to that, she said, “I didn’t know who he was, I had to Google him. I was in the middle of filming The Hills so I was like, ‘I don’t want a boyfriend in Chicago,’ and passed on it.“
The main reason for rejecting Jay’s request was Kristin being asked out by many Chicago players before. This made her feel weird, think why all the Chicago players wanted to date her.
However, a year later, Kristin forgetting Jay’s approach, attended the Chicago Bears preseason game. Eventually, it was only the time when both of them met each other for the first time. Surprisingly, she found Jay cute and didn’t tale long to take a step forward to know more about the Chicago athlete.
In her book “Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making It All Work”, she wrote:
“We hung out two nights later, and that began a swift and intense romance. I flew back to Chicago at least every two weeks. When we were apart, we texted constantly, and he wrote me the sweetest love emails. He was the strong, manly man I wanted but had a sweet, romantic side as well.“
Engaged after 8 Months of Dating
The pair got engaged over the Easter weekend after just eight months of dating while on holiday in Mexico. Kristin was surprised by the proposal. Unfortunately, the three months after the proposal, the couple had to call the quits.
“A few things needed to change, and I knew the only way Jay would see how serious I was, was if I ended the relationship.” Kristin wrote on her book.
Again back in October 2011, while Kristin was competing in season 13 of the reality star, Dancing With The Stars, the news about the couple being together again aired in the media. This time the proposal was unconventional, Kristin said to E! News:
“It was so silly, she added, “I was in the airport, leaving Chicago. We had just spent however many days together and we were texting and somehow it came up, like, ‘Oh, shall we get married?’ We’re like, ‘Yeah, OK.’ And then he sent my ring in the mail. So I actually had my ring sitting at home for a couple of weeks before I put it on.“
Blessed with the first child August 8, 2012
The couple shared the exciting news that they were expecting their first child together just two months after their rekindled relationship. The couple then welcomed their first son Camden Jack on August 8, 2012.
Expressing the joy, Kristin with People Magazine said:
“It’s an amazing time in our life and we can’t wait to meet the new addition to our growing family.“
Walked Down the Aisle on June 7, 2013
The couple eventually tied the knot in a civil ceremony on June 7 and again on June 8 in Nashville’s Woodmont Christian Church, in front of 150 family and friends, followed by a reception at the historic Houston Station. Additionally, Guests dined on Southern cuisine and enjoyed the performance of the Motown band.
Welcome second and Third child in 2014 and 2015
The couple announced on Twitter that baby number two was on the way, soon after their two weddings. Expressing happiness, Kristin tweeted, writing:
“Thank you for all the love!! We are so excited for Camden to be a big brother!“
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s second child Jaxon Wyatt Cutler was born on May 7, 2014. The News was revealed by Kristin via her Instagram account. Similarly, the couple announced the news of their 3rd child in 2015 on Mother’s Day. Their third child, a daughter named, Saylor James came into the world on November 23.
