Coming to her film credits, she made her film debut as Tere in the 1979 Mexican movie, El chanfle. Then, she appeared in part II of the film, El chanfle II (1982). Her following movie credits include Don raton y don ratero (1983), Charrito (1984), and Musica de viento (1988). Besides, she worked as a TV producer in Maria de nadie (1985), La duena (1995), and Alguna vez tendremos alas (1997).

The former couple had tied the wedding knot in a private marriage ceremony held on 19th November 2004. Prior to their marriage, they stayed in a 27 years long relationship. Also, they had gone for a tour to Mexico, Latin American and the United States with different plays.
During an interview with Florinda, she expressed her relationship with late Chespirito saying:
With Roberto, all the answers, all the reasons, all the happiness came into my life. What I had live before does not compare at all with what I enjoyed with it. And after him, nothing is the same.
Florinda’s late husband, Roberto died from heart failure, with the complications of Parkinson’s disease. He took his last breathe in his home in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico, leaving the world at the age of 85 on 28th November 2014. After his death, many famous celebrities went to their social media in order to express their condolences. His funeral was held at the Panteon Frances in Mexico City on December 1, the same year.
