Jahsen Wint & Amir Riep Rape & Kidnapping Case: Dismissed From Ohio State Football Team

The former Ohio State Football team players, Jahsen Wint and Amir Riep recently got arrested for attempting rape on a 19 years old woman. After a day of their arrest, the Ohio State Football team has announced their dismissal from the team. So far, an arraignment is not yet made from the court.

The American native, Jahsen made his appearance in 13 games in 2018 for the Big Ten and Rose Bowl champions. During the 2019 season of Ohio State, Riep appeared in 13 games as a backup defensive. Shortly after the friends raped the girl, she immediately filed a complaint against them.

Jahsen Wint & Amir Riep Charged For Rape & Kidnapping

Jahsen Wint and Amir Riep, both are the former Ohio State Football team players, are alleged for the rape case of a 19 years old woman. As per the reports, Riep first began having consensual sex with the woman. However, the woman stopped them both stating she did not want to continue.

The official complaint shows that Wint was the one who first entered the room and asked Amir if he could join. After that, both of them grabbed the woman forcefully by her neck and made her unable to move her hands and knees as well. Then, both of them raped her.

The incident was occurred at around 9:45 p.m. on 4th February 2020 at 2330 Sawmill Place Blvd. as per the reports filed by the Columbus Police Department on Tuesday (11-02-2020).

As per the women’s statement, Jahsen and Amir made a recording telling her to say her name. They also forced the woman to admit that it was all consensual while she was crying, whereas, the two were laughing at her. In the statement, the victim has also stated that Riep then drove her back to her residence and made her take bath.

After the woman complained both for kidnapping and rape, an instant investigation took place and both of them; Wint and Riep got arrested for further investigation.

Dismissed From The Ohio State Football Team

After a day, Jahsen Wint and Amir Riep got arrested for further investigation, the Ohio State Football Team suspended them from the team. The statement of their dismissal from the team was passed by the head coach, Ryan Day on Wednesday (12-02-2020). He passed the statement mentioning:

I have dismissed Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint from our football program. I am not making any statement on the criminal charges, but it is clear they did not live up to our standards and my expectations.

The statement added:

The athletics department will make sure they both continue to have access to the health and well-being resources available to students and student-athletes. Due to the ongoing criminal investigation, I will not be commenting further.

The further investigation of the case is still going on.

Arraignment For The Case

As per the arrest records, Jahsen Wint and Amir Riep are reported to be at the Franklin County Correctional Center and waiting for their arraignment hearing at 9 a.m. Thursday on 13th February 2020. The judgment of their case is not yet made public.

Jahsen Wint is from Brooklyn, New York City, the United States. He has appeared in 13 games for the Big Ten and Rose Bowl championships in 2018. He was also at the Public School Athletic League championship games.

Mentioning his family, Jahnsen is the oldest of five children, whereas, his mother is Claudette Ramos. Similarly, he has an aunt, Diana Wint. The former Ohio State Team football player, Wint stands 5 ft 10 inches tall and weighs 200 lbs.
