‘Friends’ Will Hit Theaters for 25th Anniversary Celebration

This September, free yourself from the manacles of your couches, your beds, and your beanbag chairs.

Free yourself from any busy schedule in your office, cancel your entire plan with friends and family this September.

Wondering what’s so special this month? This September, movie theaters across the U.S. will be showing selected episodes in honor of Friend’s 25th anniversary.

Many years have passed since we said goodbye to our one and only favorite sitcom ever ‘Friends”.

But as the 25th anniversary of Friends has finally arrived, fans are ready to rejoice every bit of the moments.

For the first time, your favorite Phoebe, Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, and Monica are heading to the big screen.

The 25th anniversary of Friends is set to bring along with it a whole range of business opportunities and events.

According to Entertainment Weekly, 12 episodes of Friends will be shown over three nights in the fall.

The dates are September 23, 28 and October 2 with exclusive interviews and content airing each evening.

Fans will get to see some of the iconic episodes of Friends on the big screen for the first time.

Additionally, the exciting thing is that the episodes have been remastered in 4K from the original 35mm film negatives.

Produced in conjunction with Warner Bros, the Friends anniversary celebration will involve 1,000 movie theaters all over the United States.

Lisa Gregorian, Warner Bros. Television Group President and Chief Marketing Office said in a statement “The cultural impact that Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding.”

The tribute to Friends will open up additional revenue streams for Warner Bros which is definitely a smart business move.

But will also give fans an overwhelming opportunity to relive the life of their favorite sitcom Friends.

Fans can buy tickets to the Friends 25th: The One with the Anniversary event staring from August 16.

However, bringing Friends to the big screen isn’t the only way that fans will be able to celebrate the show.

In late July, E! News revealed that a Friends-themed pop up event will open in New York City.

This event will allow fans to live out their dreams of being part of the amazing group of friends.

The experience started from October 6, featuring individual rooms dedicated to each character, along with props and customs from the show.

Of course, the centerpiece of the whole Friends show, the Central Perk is there too, that allows fans to sit on the same couches and drink coffee just like the characters did.

Not only that, in early August, LEGO announced that it was creating a Friends themed set which will allow fans to recreate their favorite scenes from the show in their own home.

The LEGO set joins Pottery Barn’s own Friends collection, Coffee Bean and Tea leaf’s line of Central Perk.

All of those exciting anniversary events should definitely help fans deal with the fact that Friends is leaving Netflix in 2020.

Fans will have to bid farewell to being able to stream episodes of their favorite show on Netflix staring in 2020.

However, they can at least cherish some few memorable moments that they had with the Friends characters so far.
