Eco–friendly packaging is a form of environmentally–friendly packaging, often made of recycled or renewable materials; The type which decomposes itself by living organisms like bacteria. And, bio-degradable materials cause zero environmental pollution. These containers have the least negative impact on the environment regarding pollution, leaving no or minimum carbon footprint.
Eco-friendly boxes are made up of reused or natural raw materials. Such materials include wood pulp, bamboo and sugarcane fibres, and hemp that go through a whole process to make cartons and paperboards. Plastic materials, however, are hardest to decompose as they are non-recyclable and take hundreds of years to decompose.
The biggest issue with anything decomposition after its use because waste has to go somewhere from Earth. Bio-degradable means it is decomposed by bacteria or living organisms, which means no additional effort and money. Also, no excess CO2 that is emitted by burning the things that are non-biodegradable.
Recyclable means no waste. Such items can be used again to make new products that means less production cost. Thus, keeping the need in mind, companies are now making eco-friendly gift boxes instead of non-recyclable.
The degrading condition of Earth, health and natural resources is making people conscious of what to buy or not. Non-recyclable material stays forever in the landfills and produce dangerous gases and cause soil pollution, air pollution, and water pollution.
Eco-friendly packaging is what people need now. They have a strong relationship with the customers boycotting plastic or non-environmental friendly packing material. That is why companies are producing eco-friendly packaging to satisfy consumers and build customer loyalty.
This drastic climate change with each passing day is terrifying. If the situation persists, it would be so hard to weather hot weather. Do you know that millions of people die each summer season because of increased temperatures? To help decrease or stop the temperature rise, it becomes every company’s duty to cut down the use of non-eco-friendly material. Every industry has started using eco-friendly packaging materials to create a difference because it cannot be done only by few if others will keep doing the same.
Consumers are aware of the impact of their consumption on the environment and do not think twice before choosing the products with environment-friendly packing and are against all the companies that do not support it. So it also increases the sales along with the customer satisfaction and loyalty when they see green boxes on the shelves by their favourite brand.
Go green means a change in lifestyle that includes more of the eco-friendly, bio-degradable, and recyclable products. It started as efforts to decrease pollution and planting more and more trees or plants and boycotting non-ecofriendly products. It is important to understand the fact that Earth has very limited natural resources left to support all kind of life on the planet. To regain or reboot nature, it is important to stop whatever is causing the problem. Go green trend is one of the reasons every brand is switching to green packaging.
Companies are well aware of the effects of not switching to eco packaging. It can cause irreversible destruction to a brand name, reputation, sales, demand, and worth. Think about it, which brand would want to lose a single customer? Importantly, it isn’t easy for anyone to start the struggle all over again. Brands build the products, and the customers build the name.
Eco-friendly packaging is the most cost-effective and durable packing solution. Utilising them does not mean that the quality of a product will decrease. To produce a quality eco-friendly product, there are a lot of low-cost quality materials to choose from. such as cardboard, corrugated, Kraft and e-flute, among others. Also, these materials produce zero pollution during manufacturing and decomposing.
This initiative takes in view the dire need of keeping the balance of nature and buying more time for Earth. It is every person’s right to contribute to the cause and fulfil their responsibility towards the Mother Earth.
